Catching up!

Roman had an awesome hunt this year and scored this elk up near Montpelier. Isn't he a stud, this thing is HUGE!! He had a blast spending some time off in the mountains and took his time choosing this elk. Someone please tell me what to do with all this meat! We will have a lot made into jerky thank goodness. Needless to say if the economy gets SUPER bad we will not be living in fear of starving to death :)

My cute sister Kelli came to visit and we had so much fun! It was her little Radley's first time at our house and my boys loved playing with him. This was the weekend it snowed so that was an adventure with a little baby. I almost forgot what it was like-almost! Anyway, I wish I lived closer to her but we know how to cram a month's worth of activities into 3 days.

My ultra-talented friend Christie and I at a scrapbooking night out with the ladies. She is the master mind behind SCARLET LIME, my favorite scrapbook kits! If you don't know scrapbooking you may not be that impressed, but she is famous world wide for her cute stuff and her amazing creativity. I have gotten to know her over the past few months and love her to death!

And the annual Halloween House was finally created last Monday for family night. Lots of fun, lots of messy frosting, lots of gritting my teeth while the boys "helped" but lots of memories too. There is now a pencil holding up the right side of the roof. Perfection is such a mirage in this ginger bread business.

That elk is seriously huge!! I bet there will be enough meat that Roman won't EVER have to go hunting again. LOL! Jerky? pick me! pick me!

I had sooo much fun at your house. I am already thinking of when I can do that again. What a great weekend that was! Hot chocolate, scrapbooking, shopping....

Looks like a fun scrapbook night with your girlfriends! Can't wait to see the layouts!

What a cute little haunted house.

I'll just say I'm glad my husband is NOT a hunter. :)

Sounds like you've been busy and having fun. I haven't scrapbooked in about a year. I know I am soooo behind, but I just don't make time for it.

Cute haunted house. I've seen more and more people making those. Kids always love a messy project especially if frosting is involved!

Love the haunted house. I remember those "grit your teeth" days when the whole experience is suppose to be fun but what a mess in the end!! Great memories, like you said!! Amazing Elk!!

I really need to get all my scrapbooking stuff out again but the likeliness of that happening....not too great! The last page I did was Kasons 1st birthday.....He just turned 5 OOPS!! Poor Jayli doesnt even have a page.

Um, does that mean you are going to have a huge elk head hanging in your house now? Kinda scary!

I like elk hamburger and roasts. Make a lot of that. Other than that you need to get a HUGE deep freeze and also give it away for neighborhood christmas treats.

That Elk is huge. Sometimes I can not believe there are animals out there that look like that. That is awesome. My husband will be jealous.
