Not so fun

Advice: NEVER let your child play on the stage at the church...it's a long ways to fall off!

Yes, my Ethan broke not one, but TWO bones in his right arm while we were at the church "crafting" with some friends. Trust me, the stage was off limits but they happened to sneak up when we were busy loading our stuff and getting ready to take them to school.

It was a moment where you didn't have to think "Hmmm, should I take him in? Is it bad enough?" Nope, no thinking required once we saw the shape of his poor little arm. It was off to the ER for us.

After a zillion X-rays, one painful setting where I had to leave not just the room but the entire building, more X-rays, a specialist, some "magic air" and a live X-ray...he finally got his red CAST!!!

Thank goodness kids are so resilient and can adapt easliy because it's not easy to do a LOT of things without your right arm. Ex. using the bathroom , writing at school, riding your bike, bathing, you get my drift. NOT FUN!!

Finally, he got to change to a smaller off the elbow cast for the last few weeks. It is heaven for him to be able to move that elbow again. Hopefully it will heal as nicely as the Dr promises it will!!!

Finally you're back in the blogging world! Thought maybe you fell in the toilet helping Ethan go potty! It's so nice to see him smiling even though he had a cast up to his armpit!
